Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup
Estée Lauder Double Wear is my “go-to” foundation for everyday use. While some people may find it to be on the drier side, I truly love the coverage level of this foundation and it’s lasting power - as the name would suggest, it absolutely does stay in place. The application process is very easy, and a little goes a long way. I always follow-up with Tarte Shape Tape concealer in “fair” to brighten under my eyes and to cover up any blemishes.
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H Longwear Foundation
This Lancôme foundation is a newer discovery for me, but I absolutely love this one for everyday wear as well! It is definitely a little bit more moisturizing and hydrating than the Double Wear foundation, however for that reason I would consider the coverage level to be initially not quite as full. This is a true build-able foundation. At a similar price point to the Double Wear, I would recommend this foundation to those whose skin is more dry or to anyone looking for a good build-able foundation that is still full coverage. If you are familiar with the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation but are possibly looking to try something new (I know I’m a sucker for new makeup products!) definitely give this one a try!
Dior Airflash Spray Foundation
This is my holy grail of all foundations. The coverage is amazing and is the closest I’ve ever experienced to looking “airbrushed.” Because the formula is so smooth and blends into your skin so well, it is impossible for this foundation to look caked-on. However, at about $70 it is just too pricey for me to justify wearing this foundation daily. That being said, I cannot stress enough just how much I love this foundation. I wore it on my wedding day & I will now wear it for special occasions. Perhaps some day I will be able to shell out the money to wear it on the daily, but at this point in my life it is just not reasonable for me to do so. I would however 100% recommend it time and time again for those looking for a foolproof foundation for special occasions or anyone who just has not found the right foundation formula for them. I have never met a single person who did not absolutely LOVE this stuff!
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream
By far the easiest foundation to use of any on this list; this is a great option for those of you who do a 5-minute makeup routine or even those who may consider themselves to be less-than-gifted in the makeup application department (No shame! I have a lot of friends who would admit that they don’t feel confident in their own abilities to apply a full face of makeup!). Because it is a CC cream, it does not require any primer be applied and it goes on extremely even! Awesome for evening out texture issues and pigmentation, or for drier skin types. For anyone who strays away from full-coverage makeup due to caking or cracking, this is the perfect option for you!
Mac Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation
This foundation has been around forever (I’ve been using it since high school!) but is great option for those long days. It’s practically waterproof and sweat proof - I’d still suggest a good setting spray, always - and I used to wear this foundation for dance competitions or cheering long games and the staying power is fantastic! Plus the color options are endless and getting matched to your perfect shade is extremely easy. You can’t go wrong with this one!
